Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I rated this place the highest I could because it is great! I go here all the time. I never have to wait long on my food. The service is always wonderful. And of course the food is great! I've had a few different items on the menu and loved all of them. Oh, and the Margaritas there are awesome too!!!

I've frequented De La Paz many times over the years. I feel like I've been an apologist for those in White House that have told me they didn't like it or had a bad experience. But, recently the service has become poor although the staff is essentially the same. If in White House, try Agave's in the Walmart shopping center.

Best Mexican I've had since moving from California five years ago. This is what guacamole is supposed to taste like. Clean, fast service, friendly staff, and great selection.

Love the food. And portions are huge. Even during lunch. Recommend checking this lil gem out.

Okay, I love Mexican food so I had to stop. Tony and I was driving back to Nashville from Orlinda and we went through White House and it was lunch time..So we stopped!! Tony hates the fact I like to stop at all Mexican restaurants...lol !! We were greeted immediately and seated. The restaurant was not that full and it was about 12:30 pm..lunch time on a friday..The server brought us some chips and salsa and took our drink order, Tony went with Budweiser in a bottle and I went with Coca Cola. Tony opted to order Steak Fajita lunch portion and I ordered the Burrito Real on the lunch menu. The food was okay but NOTHING to brag about. What turned my stomach was the fact that 2 flies were flying around like they were sick..really slow and wouldnt go away..when you shrew them away, they just slowly went over a bit..driving me crazy and then they both landed in my food!!! I tried to shew them but they wouldn't shew...they stayed..I covered them up with a napkin...but it was too late I couldn't eat..why were they acting like that..they weren't fast they were kind of slow..like they were sick.. I just told the waiter to take my plate..I couldn't eat anymore... Tony tried to finish his food but after watching the FLY Episode he was a little sick too..so we finished our drinks and left.. It was cheap..tax and tips only $22 not bad, but I got so sick!! I wouldn't eat here again!!

I love the food here! Their veggie fajitas & spinach enchiladas are great. The people that work there are all super nice too!

This place was awesome. We were road tripping with our toddler. They made sure we were seated super fast despite the long line, the food was outstanding, margarita was amazing, and our toddler was dancing in her chair to the music the whole time. No wonder there was a long line. To top it off the staff was just incredibly kind, so kind that they ran after us with our boxed leftovers that we'd forgotten. Wish we had a place like this closer to home.

I gave De la Paz 5-Stars because overall, they deserve it. Price, selection, friendliness, atmosphere...all pluses in my book and it adds up to a great rating. I ordered the mixed grill fajitas for lunch with extra tortillas (they were free). Only $5.99 first of all. hot chips and salsa to munch on while I waited for my entree. The fajitas came fast. I might add that I was there when the front door opened. GREAT! It was hot, it was delicious, Everyone was friendly. You know how sometimes if you arrive when a place opens, the people seem a little hostile. Like they don't want to be there themselves, less you show up early...well, none of that here. Friendly and warm smiles. The prices were all very affordable, but lunch DID have the best deals.

I rated 5 stars. Mostly for the take-out. We've dined in maybe twice in three years - both times all went well. Good food, good service. Take out was messed up once, but they corrected it without hesitation.

Third time was not a charm for me. First two times we went here we dined in and both times they forgot the cheese dip we ordered. We never saw the waiter from the time we ordered to the time we received our food in order to let him know we hadn't received it yet. Third time I got takeout and it was a not a good experience. The lady that took my order did not greet me at all or say anything to me other than to tell me my total and to pay when I picked the food up. When I went back in to pick up my food (there is no place to wait inside and it felt like they didn't have any air conditioning on in there) a gentleman rang me up and told me the order wasn't ready but it would be just another minute, so I waited and waited. After another 10 minutes a different gentleman came out with my order and repeated what was in the bag which turned out to be not what I ordered. We went over several times what I ordered and he finally said that the lady had written it down wrong and he took the order again. Finally after another 10 minutes he came out with my food and I left. I made the huge mistake of not verifying everything that was in the bag prior to coming home with it and it turned out a side order of rice (that I paid for) was missing. The only reason I gave De La Paz 2 stars was because the food tasted fine (same as almost every other Mexican restaurant) and the prices were cheaper than one of the other Mexican restaurants in town (Las Maracas).
